If you’ve been writing longer than a day, you know it takes a great deal of energy to finish a story, much less a book.
You probably even know the odds of completing a book. Some people say fewer than one in a thousand writers complete a full draft of a book.
It takes a lot of energy to write. It takes a lot of energy to get out in front of people and share yourself, your dream, your hopes, your aspirations.
You might’ve started writing weeks ago, and already you’re recognizing the kind of commitment it takes to compose something you’ll be proud of, or you might be many decades into a pursuit with no apparent ending. Probably, you’re somewhere in between.
So how do you keep going when things get hard? If you’re coming here, hoping to find some inspiration, we might just be able to find some together. And let’s face it. Ernest Hemingway’s liquid courage isn’t the answer we’re looking for. What we’re looking for can be found in support, community, promotion, attitude, and service.
