Feeling Like Working Is Not Required
Most days, I walk Lyle. He’s a Great Daniff, and at eight-years-old, he’s starting to slow down.
When we start out, both of us are groggy, sluggish, and a bit moody.
For the first mile, I predictably consider if I’ll sprint when I get to the park. Maybe today I should skip, I’ll think. But I know if I give an inch, the mile will have its way with me.
So I get to the park and I sprint, and on the mile walk back home, I’m grateful I worked when I didn’t feel like it.
The same principle can be used for everything in life. Write because you know future you will be glad you did.
