This episode was a great listen. I’m not against any mind altering drugs, obviously in moderation. I have never tried them. In fact, I believe Kratom is illegal in my state. Silly me, I used to work for a company that found it unethical to continue pushing the product. I had no stores with it at the time, so the totally ethical thing of stock piling returns in my garage couldn’t happen.
Yes, Martine! Absolutely. I advertise on Facebook, and my Chat GPT generated hooks always perform better. It's very good at writing compelling, short-form content, and I'm happy to let it, because I have more time to write my books and focus on human interactions.
You may get better results if you give it a more robust synopsis to work with.
In my first few attempts with the AI, I had a preconceived notion that it couldn't handle longer, more complex requests, and asked it simple questions, when, in fact, it really only starts to impress when I throw nuanced requests at it.
That said, I love a few of the fragments it gave you. "When the Music Stops" is a great, playful beginning for a tagline. "The Sound of Silence" is a fun nod to a song that might even have a shared mood to detective fiction.
I'm racing to hit a deadline right now, but I'll add in a quick monologue in an upcoming podcast episode, running my current novel synopsis through Chat GPT and share the headlines it gives me. I bet other listeners may have fun with that!
I have to say. I'm a little put off that I wasn't in on this conversation. I feel like I wasn't invited to the party. That aside, I want to know what doctor y'all have.
You three inspired, and honestly, depressed me. I wish I could bottle what you have (almost like a brain trust) for the days my confidence in my work is flattened. A brilliant threesome, you guys.
DM me on Twitter and I'll give you my mailing address for ... well, surprise me. LOL

Very interested in what you said about using ChatGPT to generate taglines... oh man, I struggle so much with that! Should I try it?

OK, well I'll give it a go... will let you know if anything useful comes out of it!
I look forward to hearing!
OK, I went there. I asked for a headline for a story. This is what I gave the AI:
It is a detective story. A PI investigates the murder of a jazz singer. There is no apparent motive. The only clue is a missing photograph.
The answers:
"Private Eye on the Case: Solving the Murder of a Jazz Singer"
"The Mystery of the Missing Photograph: A Noir Detective Story"
"Murder and Jazz: A PI's Hunt for a Killer"
"A Cold-Case Jazz Murder: Only One Clue to Solve It"
"Behind the Music: Investigating the Murder of a Jazz Singer"
"The Art of Detection: A Private Eye's Search for the Truth in a Jazz Murder"
"The Sound of Silence: A Detective's Quest for Justice in a Jazz Singer's Murder"
"When the Music Stops: A Private Investigator's Search for the Killer of a Jazz Singer"
You may get better results if you give it a more robust synopsis to work with.

You're right. I'll try with more nuance. I've not given it much to play with. Talk to you later.

She said threesome... ha ha ha ha Yes I’m a child, I know. Couldn’t resist
Hahaha! I'll gladly send you some Kava. It's a bit on the tamer side, but I really enjoy it.
I'll do a separate review post, but I do recommend @KMAC as a graphic artist. I sent you a DM on him.
Thank you!
