Not only a vital episode, this is one you'll want to bookmark and revisit often. Branding "mindset" is important. A branding "plan" is as well. Start here. It will spill over into other areas of your marketing plan.

I’ve been thinking about making the same podcast change. Is there any benefit to it or just simplifying where you upload things?

There are a handful of benefits, as I see it. I can create a more robust written element or a transcript that feels more natural.

When the episode publishes, it emails to my list, and as long as I have the highest integrity and offer top value, my list of subscribers are going to listen, grow, and interact.

I can tailor any ad partners' experience to get the most out of our partnership. That's a decent start. Oh, and it saves me $20 a month, which frees me up to spend that money elsewhere.
