I loved - LOVED - this episode. I confess, my tastes (regarding a sad song, story, etc.) are more aligned with Jody's. In fact, he explained the way I feel about it better than I've ever synthesized it in my own mind. But the journey of the original story and the evolution of the episode was just wonderful. This is a case-in-point episode as to why I love TRBM so much.
