I'm always listening, even if I dont alway comment. So sorry to hear that you had to finally let go of Chewy. Give yourself time to heal and you will be ready to get back into the fight before you know it.

Sorry, my friend. Losing a pet has a ton of punch and it's not easy. I've had same and it double sucks when you make that decision to euthanize them.

As for the bones, you are allowed and should take the break to grieve and just take care of yourself. Sometimes you have to step away and take the breath. Putting things on hold does not take away from what you've accomplished or what and where you want to get to. Rest, recoup, and let that grief process run its course and then you can get back in the game.

And don't feel bad talking about it on your podcast. It is a journal of sorts and those of us tuning in are riding along on your journey. You are a MC, one of those heroes who we, as listeners, are rooting for, struggling with, cheering on and turning pages to see the hero triumph after adversity.

Hang in there, and if there is a solace to be had, know that you'll get to see your friend again some day, and even if you can't sense it, Chew will be checking in on you.

Condolences and hang in there.

I struggled with the same worries of exploitation when I published the episode of my podcast that was the story of my brother's sign. But I realized, as I hope you do, that everything we share with the world as writers is a part of us. Mostly obscured by characters in our stories, but sometimes, the truth needs to be shared more directly.

I've always appreciated how selflessly you do that.

Thank you.
