Fresh on the heels of The Strawberry Festival in Cabot Arkansas, I attended Galaxy Con in Oklahoma City. It started out rough. Like, rough as in, I thought about quitting the whole writing marketing thing and getting a W2 rough. Why was it so bad, and how did it go from rough to revolutionary. David Joel Stevenson taught me something, and I had the softness to hear and learn. Kudos to me, and kudos to you if you can take this talk and apply it in your life. Learning from others and failing publicly are two enormous challenges you can’t succeed without experiencing.
This is so good--not what happened to you but your story here. I think all efforts and endeavors at anything result in those dark days where nothing happens in your favor and you feel like you just screwed things up. This will give me the encouragement to keep doing this when I have my "I'm a loser" day. It happens. I've had those failure days over and over and it's hard to get back up, so this is a great podcast to keep the rest of us in the game.
Looking forward to hearing your new pitch.
I thought for a moment, that dinner story was going to end differently. Was 60-65% sure you were hoping to end up having to walk back to your car.
It seriously could have. I'm not a pro at taking feedback, but I do need and appreciate feedback. So………
And great info on pitches....like a real bullet quick hit synopsis...add the feels and urgency...
