Trial and Error, Trial and Succeed, Implement

Leveraging Libraries to Live Your Writerly Dream Part 9

If you’re an author with a handful of books published (or you’ve published nonfiction and have one book with a great program to help clients), AMMO is unlike any other program on the market. You’re going to have to work the program to find success, and bestseller status likely won’t hit in weeks of joining the program, but for many authors, AMMO is the beginning of a lucrative career that puts books first. THIS IS THE LINK TO MY SUBSTACK if you’re listening elsewhere.

This past week, I reached out to over a dozen business leaders in my personal community with a short, pointed email requesting feedback and insight on how to maximize the outcome of my Books for Brews event.

Two people have responded “I’ll think on this and get back to you.” Another replied, but ignored the substance of the question and wished me luck.

I was tempted to feel jilted, but as I reflected on the outcome, a simple answer emerged. I’m doing something none of them have done before. The relative silence is an admission of inexperience, and that—for me—is reason for both excitement and concern.

There’s a saying, and I’ll likely butcher it here: Second to market does it cheaper, faster, and better. No matter what happens with Books for Brews, you’ll get to see what worked, what failed, and what embarrassed. Perhaps you’ll be able to take this strategy and adapt it for your own use. Maybe we’ll learn together why not to do it.

AMMO One More Time

It’s tough to predict the future, but if you want to enjoy selling you novels at such a level that you can be a full-time author, there’s nothing better than AMMO. Check out the program here.
