What a fascinating episode!! I love the whole angle, and how Juliette pulls the switch on the premise of revenge. I love the twins in the car, the hot August timeframe, the conflict between revenge & remorse (within the same person), and the possibilities such a set-up leaves. The ending was great!
As I listened, I envisioned the possibility of the husband finding the car (since it's been days, and he's a character who has been introduced), and smashing out the window to save the wife. But the wife, in that scenario, is now also remorseful. That twin thing we hear about. She is "tied" with her twin in her death just as they were in life. So much so, perhaps she comes to accept the concept of dying in the car herself. Maybe she welcomes it in order to, ultimately, unite with her twin. The husband's arrival thwarts such a simple end. He may try to save her - and the live twin teams up with the dead twin to stave off the efforts to keep the living twin alive. So, perhaps they kill the husband, the live twin surrenders to her own death, and the twins reunite.
OR...the live twin still isn't remorseful. She battles, along with the husband, for her (the remaining twin's) survival. In that case, the live twin could accidentally die at the hands of the husband (or even, as a twist, it's not an accident). Either way, with both twins now dead, maybe they continue their sibling rivalry into the afterlife, with an epic battle that could have any number of possible conclusions.
This is a fabulous storyline. Jody and Juliette do a great job - and inspire so many possibilities. LOVE it. Great episode!
Your comment goes to prove there is never a perfect way to tell any story. I'd thought Juliette and I got the very one, but you idea of the sisters being united in life as they are in death and the brother again thwarting that is so amazingly fun. I want both stories told. Who is going to write these‽
You and Juliette did get the very one. It was really amazing. And her twist on the twin's "I'm sorry" text, when the second one twin says, "I'm not," was really thrilling.
I think you're right. So many ways to do the same storyline. I hope someone writes it.

I loved the "I'm not," moment too! It gave me goosebumps.
I had so much fun doing this, thanks so much for having me on, Jody! You pulled me out of my comfort zone, and it's exactly what I needed.
I got a text message from a coworker of mine from days past and he said, I quote, "Today's story was my favorite." You really spun a good one!
That just made my whole day!!
